Description
The Museum system of the Municipality of Santadi it brings together the Civic Archaeological Museum, the “Sa Domu Antiga” Ethnographic Museum and the Archaeological Area of Pani Loriga, interested in a unitary management by Sémata Soc. Coop., which guarantees common qualitative, exhibition, informative and promotional standards.
Since 2008, the Sémata Cooperative has been operating in the sector of territorial enhancement, highlighting those bonds and processes stratified over time that have defined the face of the current landscape. Alongside the promotional, teaching, management and research activities, it takes care of the conception and realization of events that promote knowledge of local realities. Sémata, in addition to the Museum System of the Municipality of Santadi, manages the Museum of the Mediterranean Weaving of Castelsardo and the Archaeological Area of Nora. It carries out archaeological excavations and projects for the enhancement and recovery, census and filing of sites and assets of archaeological, historical and cultural interest.
